What is steel coil?

Steel coil, also known as coiled steel. The steel is hot-pressed and cold-pressed into rolls. In order to facilitate storage and transportation, and facilitate various processing (for example, processing into steel plates, steel belts, etc.)

The formed coils are mainly hot rolled coils and cold rolled coils. Hot rolled coil is a processed product before the billet is recrystallized. Cold rolled coil is the subsequent processing of hot rolled coil. The general weight of steel coil is about 15-30T. Steel coils are divided into ordinary steel coils and galvanized coils.

How is galvanized strip produced?

First stage :  The entire roll of strip steel is pickled and decontaminated to achieve a bright and clean surface.

Second stage
①Hot-dip zinc: After pickling, it is cleaned in an ammonium chloride or zinc chloride aqueous solution or a mixed aqueous solution of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride. Then it is sent to the hot dip coating tank for galvanizing.
②Hot-dip galvanizing: After pickling, it is cleaned in a tank of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride aqueous solution or a mixed aqueous solution of ammonium chloride and zinc chloride, sent to the continuous annealing furnace and then into the galvanizing tank for galvanizing.
③Direct galvanizing: After pickling, it is sent to the continuous annealing furnace and then into the galvanizing tank for galvanizing.

Third Stage : After the strip is galvanized, it is loaded into the warehouse. The galvanized layer can be based on customer requirements, generally not less than 50g/m2, and any sample shall not be less than 48g/m2.

What are the uses of galvanized coils?

Galvanized strip steel is generally used to make steel pipes, such as greenhouse pipes, drinking water pipes, heating pipes, gas delivery pipes; it can also be used in construction, light industry, automobiles, agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery, and commerce.
